Comedy Festivals

I've applied and been rejected to, I think, every comedy contest in existence. Laughing Skull, Seattle Comedy Competition, Just for Laughs, New York Comedy Festival, Rooftop Aspen, Boston Comedy Competition, and more!

But, my favorite rejection of all time, easily goes to Snubfest. Snubfest is a comedy festival in Chicago that showcases people who have been rejected (snubbed) by other comedy festivals. To apply, you send a video and the name of the festival that rejected you.

Well, I didn't make the cut. To get into a festival for people who get rejected by festivals.

The bad news:

Thanks for taking the time to submit to Snubfest 2009

As you can imagine the festival has grown over the past 5 years and we have a lot of Stand Up Comics that want to be seen. We limit the contest to 10 comics per year and this year we had a record breaking 20 submissions for our festival.

We have not picked you for this years festival but have put your name on a waiting list and if someone from our current line up drops out will will contact you.

Really sorry we couldn't get you in this year and hope you will consider applying again next year.
